Supposed to be 88 and sunny today. It only cooled down to 64 last night, so the house will be very warm later today. I foresee watching TV in the bedroom tonight, since it has the only air conditioning. Magnificent is DH and I are on the same page as to the need to be more frugal. We are looking at retiring in the next few years and want to save as much as possible. Have 3 more meals of bbq pork and 9 single servings of leftover mac and cheese, so stretching that dinner a long way. It's been a while since I made either one. Pulled a package of leftover shredded chicken to make burritos with tonight, along with leftover cilantro rice and chili beans. No anticipated spending today. I hope everyone has a great day. Jill

Happy Monday! Oh my goodness, we finally got a refreshing break in our weather. Yesterday was magnificent with high temp in the mid-80s and very little humidity. Today is almost the same. I wish this weather could stay around longer; however, it is July and I do live in the south, so I can just dream on.

I had a routine doctor’s appointment early this morning. Mainly a look-see so I can get my prescriptions refilled. After that, I stopped at Walmart for a few items and came home. So a small amount of money out for the medical co-pay and the items from Walmart. Just the regular house tasks and laundry to get completed. Not feeling up to doing any outside chores today. Supper will be homemade pizza and salad. Have a nice day.

My magnificent is that DS2 seems to be doing well at the community college so far. He does his homework when he gets home and studies for hours before a test.

Another scorcher of a day today- 98 degrees.

I'll get DS2 from school, make dinner and take a nap before work. DH has been working excessively and it shows.

Happy Monday to All. Same magnificent and weather as Luckee08. Heat returning but only the low 90's and less humidity.

Our church hosted a conference this past weekend. DH and I did not attend this time because of various things going on. Sunday evening was the last session and open to the public/free once the attendees who had paid took their seats. We got a seat in the back but the church isn't that big so we could see everything going on. Home by 10 PM.

The usual early morning outside chores - watering the gardens, picked 2 cucumbers, garden TLC. A lot of the Beefsteak tomatoes are starting to change color, so I put as many as possible into produce bags to deter the birds. Yesterday DH had a first of the season tomato sandwich. Made enough spaghetti for lunch today and meals tomorrow.

DGD's daycare is closed this week so I am on sitter duty tomorrow and Wednesday. Probably will be too tired to post by the time I get home. Will be grateful for that leftover pasta.

    Everyone have a magnificent day.

My magnificent for this Monday is I had another in-home PT session and was able to get in another 15 minutes on my NuStep. My PT and I talk non stop while she is here and while I am on the NuStep. We are both impressed that I maintain my workout and our conversation and not become too winded. lol, She will be back on Wednesday morning. I think I will try to get myself on the NuStep tomorrow.
No money out today is my plan, all food/meals will be from home as usual. Not quite sure what dinner will be. maybe I'll mix up the meatloaf later and get it ready for the oven. Or I might just brown up the ground beef and turkey I thawed in the fridge to use for taco salads and/or sloppy joes.

WEather is still pretty decent- for now. humidity is supposed to return by weeks end. Hope you all have a great Monday...

My magnificent today is that my sister sent me a gift for my birthday - $250!!! Wow. I called my dentist straight away and have an appointment at 4:40pm today. I have a loose tooth on my partial plate and need to see the dentist to see how it can be fixed. I was going to wait until after our vacation as their office is closed at the same time as ours but may be able to get it fixed next Monday now instead. I will more than likely need to drop the plate off in the early am and then go back in the afternoon and pick it up. The denturist couriers it out to my dentist's office from Victoria. At least that is how they did when they put on the tooth addition when I had it repaired a while ago. I only have Sundays and Mondays available to do that sort of thing. I can also go and get the baby's change table pad now instead of waiting till baby comes. Yay. lunch out is also in the works. Sally.

I managed to make myself get up early enough to get the grocery shopping out of the way before it got too hot or too crowded. Kept the list right at $40.

DH has to leave early today to get his Rx safety glasses. He is going to be tired tonight.
And he has a 12 hr shift tomorrow.

Dishes finally got done and I put a chicken casserole in the fridge for DH last night. All I should have for a couple of days are bowls and flatware since I am just eating sandwiches on paper towels.

Well went out to the dentist and sure enough I will have to go back on Monday and drop the partial plate off with them at 8:30am and go back around 4:30pm to pick it up. Means doing without for the whole day but can't be helped. Dropped off library books, had lunch out and brought half of it home for dinner. drove to Babies R Us and picked up the baby change table pad and some washcloths that were both on her Baby Registry list. The dentist also did a quick exam and 2 X-Rays whilst I was in the chair. Repair will be covered as the addition on the plate was only done in October of last year, so not even a year old yet. I put half a tank of gas in the car and got a few grocery items now while they were still on sale. The sale ends Thursday and I don't get paid until Saturday. I also called in at the cheap hairdressers and got a haircut. Really needed it though not that cheap anymore. Used to be $15 (First Choice Haircutters) now it is $17.50 + taxes. No change from $21. if you include the tip. Left home at noon and just got back in the door at 6:50pm. Heating up the leftovers from lunch for dinner. Really really pleased with how much got accomplished today. I have the laundry in the dryer and the dishwasher load got done before I left the house. Back to work again tomorrow. Birthday is still a week away so must make sure to put back the money that I used ahead of time today when I get paid and I can then use it for something else. Sally.

I managed to get all my assignments completed on time!! I hate group assignments. I really want to get to bed early tonight, well early for me- lol! But until I know both parts of our final group assignments have been submitted I probably won't fall asleep right away. Ugh! I have a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon, my dentist wants to replace some of my older "silver" fillings. he said last week I have a few that re "leaking" I have no idea what that means, but Ok... I'm game... my dentist is cute! lol Anyway, my transportation has been arranged. and my ride (MCTC) will be here around 2:15 my appointment is at 2:30, my dentist is a 10-minute drive. I wonder if I will hear from my OT tomorrow? My new class begins tomorrow- research for journalism. Lord help me!!! Will try to check in tomorrow before my appointment...
